There are moments to sit and think.
And moments to stop overthinking and act.
This lesson cost me at least a week of my life. Maybe more.
I told myself I’d wait until college started to create content again, thinking I’d have a ton of fresh ideas to share.
Reality check:
Only had one meeting all week.
It was just an intro to my major (same boring slides as last year).
Next week? No exciting classes either.
And the worst part? I didn’t even pay attention because I was too busy making a new friend who’s interested in startups. (My opener: “Hey, is that the YC logo on your laptop wallpaper?”)
Here’s the truth I keep relearning:
There’s no perfect time.
The “perfect moment” is just procrastination in disguise.
If you wait, you lose.
It won’t get easier. So you might as well start now. Even if it feels like the worst time.
Because later might never come. And regret is a heavy price.
One more thing I’ve noticed:
You are your best ally. And your worst enemy.
Question of the week:
What have you delayed because you were waiting for the “perfect moment”?
Until next week,
Rémy
PS: Momentum > timing. Always.
