After a 16 hours Flixbus drive, I finally arrived in Darmstadt for my exchange on Monday.

On one hand, I was a bit nervous because it is a new environment and I have never spoken German a lot in my everyday life.

On the other hand, I was also excited because it meant I will need to look for opportunities to make this stay memorable.

So far, this first week has been really busy:

  • moving in

  • socializing

  • taking interesting calls

I'm glad I could use my exchange in Shanghai as an experience to do things differently:

  • socializing more at the beginning of the semester (before increasing my focus on what's important)

  • being proactive in group chats to ask the questions I thought were dumb

Hope I will use this opportunity to try (new) exciting things and meet people I could play long term games with.
