I just got back from a 10-day trip in Eastern Europe with my college friends.
And I realized that there's nothing better than a trip in your 20s, with people you care about.
It felt very different from my first trip in Europe because:
we have almost doubled the size of our group (8 people in total instead of 5)
I already went to Budapest last year, so it was more to discover other parts of the city (especially the nightlife)
I enjoyed this trip because it helped me do unique things in several aspects:
1. Went to North Macedonia, a country I never thought I would visit one day
2. Spent quality time with friends I had not seen for almost a year
3. Went out of my comfort zone by reaching out to more strangers. Met wonderful people.
Here are the top 3 activities I recommend you to try there:
1. Thermal baths.
Never thought I would enjoy this type of activity. Talked with a Hungarian there.
2. Ice skating.
It was very uncomfortable at the beginning, even though I had already done it. It hurt my legs, but it was a really cool experience. A Hungarian girl taught me how to ice skate backwards.
3. The nightlife.
I usually don't go out at night, but it was a fun experience. Try it at least once. Remember to put earplugs in your ears.
Question of the week:
Have you ever done a trip with your friends? And how was it?
Until next week,
Rémy
